GlucoLog

Blood Sugar Tracker for iPhone

Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GlucoLog - Blood Sugar Tracker (“GlucoLog”, “the App”, “we”, “us”), developed by Gunay Guren, handles your information. We built GlucoLog so that your health data stays with you.

In short: GlucoLog does not require an account, does not run its own servers, and does not collect, sell, rent or share your personal or health data. Everything you log is stored on your device.

1. Information you enter

When you use the App you may enter:

If you add a profile for another person, please make sure they agree to you keeping their health information in the App.

This information is stored only locally on your device in the App's private storage. We do not transmit it to us or to any third party. If you use iPhone device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup), the App's local data may be included in those backups, which are controlled by you and Apple under Apple's privacy policy.

2. Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you choose to turn on Apple Health sync, the App can, with your explicit permission:

Apple Health is used only for the main profile. Readings and medications of additional profiles are never read from or written to Apple Health.

2a. Continuous glucose monitor (CGM) data

If a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) app on your iPhone saves sensor glucose readings to Apple Health, the App can read those readings, with the same Apple Health permission, to show the CGM Overview screen and CGM reports. The App does not connect to any sensor or CGM device directly and does not write sensor readings back to Apple Health.

Data obtained through HealthKit, including CGM data:

You can review or revoke the App's Health permissions at any time in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › GlucoLog on your iPhone.

3. Notifications

Measurement and medication reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. Reminder content and times are not sent to us. Medication reminders show the medication name and dose note and, if you use more than one profile, the profile name; depending on your iOS settings these may be visible on the Lock Screen. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

4. Doctor reports (PDF)

Doctor reports and CGM reports can include the profile name, age (if a birth year is set), diabetes type, readings, notes, medications, dose history and CGM statistics and charts. When you create a PDF report, it is generated on your device. It is shared only if you choose to send it through the iOS share sheet (for example, by email or AirDrop). Once you share it, the recipient's handling of that file is outside our control.

5. Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your name, payment card or billing details. The App only checks with Apple whether you have an active entitlement to unlock Pro features. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Analytics, advertising and tracking

The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous App Store statistics (such as downloads or crash reports you agreed to share with developers) under Apple's terms.

7. Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you are in full control of it:

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Caregivers may use the App to track readings on behalf of a family member.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA, Washington under the My Health My Data Act, or the EU/UK under the GDPR), you may have rights to access, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data. Since we do not collect or hold your data on our systems, these rights can be exercised directly on your device as described above. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under U.S. state laws. If you have questions, contact us using the details below.

10. HIPAA

GlucoLog is a personal tracking tool for consumers. We are not a healthcare provider, health plan or business associate, and the App is not offered as a HIPAA-covered service.

11. Security

Your data is protected by the security features of iOS, including device passcode and data protection encryption. Please keep your device secure and up to date.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will be highlighted in the App or in the App Store release notes.

Medical disclaimer: GlucoLog is a logging and informational tool only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. 2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, sell or create derivative works of the App, except as permitted by law.

3. Your data and responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. Your data is stored on your device, so you are responsible for keeping your device and backups. We are not responsible for data loss caused by deleting the App, device loss, failure or reset.

4. GlucoLog Pro – subscriptions and purchases

Some features (such as PDF doctor reports, unlimited smart reminders and advanced trends) require GlucoLog Pro, available as:

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose, not to interfere with its operation, and not to attempt to bypass purchase or licensing mechanisms.

6. Third-party services

The App can work with Apple services such as Apple Health and the App Store. Your use of those services is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any calculation or statistic is accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any health outcome, loss of data, or decisions made based on information shown in the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App or GlucoLog Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

9. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any product claims, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual property claims. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your license if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of the country or state where you live.
